1. Introduction
Viz.ai is committed to integrity, compliance, and patient-centered innovation in healthcare. This Supplier Code of Conduct outlines the minimum standards of ethical and responsible behavior expected of all suppliers, contractors, consultants, and other third parties (“Suppliers”) working with or on behalf of Viz.ai.
2. Legal and Regulatory Compliance
- Medical Compliance: Suppliers must follow all applicable medical device laws (e.g., FDA, MDR, ISO 13485).
- Data Protection: Compliance with privacy regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA is mandatory.
- Trade & Export: Suppliers must respect applicable trade, export control, and sanctions regulations.
3. Business Integrity and Ethics
- No Bribery: Zero tolerance for bribery, corruption, kickbacks, or other forms of unethical influence.
- Conflict of Interest: Any potential or actual conflicts must be disclosed to Viz.ai.
- Fair Competition: Suppliers must comply with antitrust and competition laws.
4. Labor and Human Rights
- No Forced Labor: All work must be voluntary. No forced, bonded, or indentured labor.
- No Child Labor: Suppliers must not employ anyone below the minimum legal working age.
- Equal Opportunity: Discrimination or harassment based on protected characteristics is prohibited.
- Freedom of Association: Workers must have the right to form unions and engage in collective bargaining.
5. Health and Safety
- Suppliers must provide a safe, clean, and healthy work environment.
- Emergency plans, training, and protective equipment must be maintained and accessible.
6. Environmental Responsibility
- Suppliers are expected to minimize environmental impact and comply with environmental regulations.
- Preference is given to suppliers with ISO 14001 certification or proven sustainability initiatives.
7. Data Security and Confidentiality
- Protection of Information: Confidential information and intellectual property must be safeguarded.
- AI & Software Standards: All AI model development must align with Viz.ai’s standards for fairness, safety, and accuracy.
- Cybersecurity: Suppliers must implement industry-standard cybersecurity protections.
8. Quality Assurance
- Suppliers must operate a quality management system appropriate to their services (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485).
- Timely notification is required for quality issues affecting Viz.ai.
9. Monitoring and Enforcement
- Viz.ai reserves the right to audit supplier compliance.
- Suppliers are expected to maintain documentation and cooperate fully in any review or investigation.
- Failure to comply may result in contract termination.
10. Reporting Concerns
If a supplier becomes aware of misconduct or policy violations, they must report the issue confidentially to ethics@viz.ai.
