Implementing AI-powered Viz.ai OneTM platform in hospitals in Montana to accelerate care coordination and bring better care to more patients
SAN FRANCISCO – April 10, 2024 – Viz.ai, the leader in AI-powered disease detection and intelligent care coordination, today announced a partnership with The Montana Hospital Association’s business advocacy team, MHA Ventures, to improve access to life saving treatments. More than 60 hospitals and health systems in the MHA network will be able to implement a comprehensive neurovascular artificial intelligence solution to accelerate coordination of care for time-critical conditions, including large vessel occlusion, pulmonary embolism, aortic disease, aneurysm, subdural and intracerebral hemorrhage.
“The establishment of the Montana Hospital Association’s partnership between MHA Ventures and Viz.ai will enable the broader use of AI and increased access to lifesaving treatments for patients all across Montana,” said Sean Becker, MHA Vice President of Shared Services. “We are eager to share the benefits of Viz.ai One with hospitals in Montana to help our doctors and clinical teams make critical decisions for patient care confidently and quickly, while also effectively managing our resources.”
Without quick diagnosis and access to care, these conditions can quickly become medical emergencies. The implementation of an AI-powered solution, such as Viz.ai One, is designed to expedite and coordinate the care process with the aim of improving patient outcomes. The Viz.ai One solution, integrated into electronic health record (EHR) systems and radiology worklists, provides intelligent care pathways powered by AI in neurological, vascular and cardiac diseases.
“We’ve been using Viz.ai for the detection of suspected strokes over the last year and have seen improvements in patient care across our healthcare system,” said Rachel Jenkins, Neuroscience Service Line Director at Appalachian Regional Healthcare. “Our site in Hazard, KY is the largest in the system. Since implementing Viz.ai into our system, we have seen reduced time to treatment for patients receiving stroke care.”
“Partnering with Montana Hospital Association will allow hospitals and health systems in Montana to improve patient care and advance the standards of care in artificial intelligence-driven medical technology,” said Prem Batchu-Green, vice president, clinical at Viz.ai. “With Viz.ai One, hospitals have visibility and coordination across the entire health system, which expedites care coordination, improves patient outcomes, and increases cost savings.”
