Making Moves at Vascular Events this Summer

The Viz.ai team has been busy this summer attending several vascular events, meeting with clinical leaders advancing the vascular surgery space.

First up was the Society of Interventional Surgery (SIR) 2022, held in June in Boston, MA. A global audience of interventional radiologists gathered at SIR to get the latest information in basic and clinical research, experience techniques and technologies utilized by interventional radiologists around the world, see the latest equipment used in IR, as well as  discuss social, political, and economic issues important to the IR community.

We attended insightful sessions covering venous and arterial interventions, how clinical leaders are learning new techniques for new pulmonary embolism patients, and disparities in women’s health when it comes to vascular care – more significantly how diversity in health care system plays a significant role in patient compliance with treatments for cardiovascular disease as well as with workforce recruitment.

Attendees joined Viz.ai and leaders from The PERT ConsortiumTM for a reception to discuss the value of establishing a collaborative approach to pulmonary embolism.

Next up on the conference circuit was Society of Vascular Surgery Vascular Annual (VAM) 2022, held the same week in June in Boston, MA. By the time the week was over, we were dropping our “R’s” and eating lobster rolls for breakfast.

VAM 2022 brought together leaders from across the vascular surgery space to discover innovative technologies for vascular disease diagnosis and therapy and discuss the findings of vascular health research.

At VAM, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion was a large topic of discussion. A series of insightful DEI sessions were held where important topics included creating gender-affirming encounters, creating an inclusive workplace environment for LGBTQ+ colleagues & more. The recordings are now available for anyone to watch here.

We look forward to continuing to meet fellow vascular leaders at future events. Please be sure to check out our events page to see all upcoming events we are attending.
