Viz.ai has committed to set near-term company-wide greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets in line with climate science through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). These targets, which will cover our full value chain (Scopes 1, 2, and relevant 3), will be developed within the next two years and will align with limiting global temperature rise to 1.5°C. At this stage, this represents our commitment to set targets—they have not yet been validated by the SBTi.
By taking this step, Viz.ai is joining thousands of organizations worldwide working to deliver the rapid and deep emissions cuts needed this decade. Our focus is on achieving real reductions across our operations and value chain; offsets will not count toward these near-term science-based targets. We will now begin the process of developing and submitting our targets to the SBTi for validation.
